Ahhh so that bubonic plague scare that everyone was making jokes about ended up being about a couple with young children eating an animal that they hunted and no one cared because they were from an Asian country that doesn’t make KPop or anime….. Very cool Tumblr Whites very cool

Not to be angry & Asian or whatever but I think it is very telling that everyone that made jokes about the whole situation instead of, I don’t know, looking into what happened at all, decided that a couple dying of the literal Bubonic Plague in 2019 when we have developed antibiotics to treat it was not at all suspicious and just something that was fair game to joke about but maybe that is just my uncultured opinion

people love to see mongolians as barbaric especially in regards to our cultural cuisine. plus mongolia is suffering economically right now especially nomadic tribes and people living in ger cities can’t afford the same medical treatments and vaccines as others with better socioeconomic status. mongolia has been experiencing antibiotic overuse as well due to lack of access to other, proper medical care for specific situations- antibiotics are cheaper and more widely available than other treatments for common illnesses. this is an indigenous, poor/ low class and environmental issue. anyone who thinks it’s funny can go on and catch it themselves.

also. at op and people in the notes: this is not about poc or asians as a whole, this is specifically about mongolians. you can say it. we aren’t some vague people. we have a name.
